Durga Puja Theme: This year Ahiritola Puja Committee came up with a very innovative theme of ASURA RAJA DESH in which Maa Durga kills the Mahisasur in Asura kingdom defeating numerous Asuras. Generally the Asura gets unnoticed in most of the Durga Pujas in Kolkata. So highlighting Asuras. They have tried to create a mixture of fear, devotion and happiness at their Puja pandal. The pandal is basking in the glorious light of Durga's presence in the world of Asuras. This year Ahiritola committee is celebrating their 72th year of Durga Puja.
